EVENTS :: BUSY BEE - 22 APRIL 2008 Volunteers enjoying a lunch break during the hedge pruning busy bee. Thanks to a hard working group of thirty-six volunteers, the hedge at the bowling club courts was pruned on Sunday, April 22nd. Equipment for the work was also supplied by volunteers and Michael, our groundsman. Volunteers stated that the day was enjoyable because it was an opportunity to get together and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members. The project was a great achievement. Thanks to the efforts of all the volunteers, the busy bee saved the Club many thousands of dollars; the hedge will regrow to be more attractive; and, last but not least, the mosquito colonisation problem was solved. The project was arranged by Peter Hackett.
